Depending on your child’s age, you might want to set up their Apple ID differently. For example, if they’re under 13, you might want to create a Child ID for them, so that they can have a separate account with age-appropriate content. If they’re 13 or over, you can set up their Apple ID using their own email address.
Here’s how to set up an Apple ID for your child, and how to manage it.
How to set up an Apple ID for your child
If your child is under 13 years old, you can create a Child ID for them using your own Apple ID. To do this, you’ll need to:
-Go to Settings and tap [your name].
-Tap Family Sharing, then tap Add Family Member.
-Tap Create a Child Account and enter your child’s date of birth.
-Follow the steps to create an Apple ID for your child.

-Go to Settings and tap [your name].
-Tap Family Sharing, then tap your child’s name.
